About the Duck River Reservoir Phase II Project (AL):
The Project is approximately two years in duration and consists of construction of the Dam and Raw Water Intake for the Duck River Reservoir. For more information about the project, please /.
Key Activities and Position
Responsibilities:
oMonitor complete workings of batch-type concrete batch plant, including the following for proper working condition:
oMechanical components;
oElectric components;
oElectronic components;
oMeasuring components (load cells, scales, flow meters);
oAir system components;
oTrouble shooting of machineries at the batching plant and other related equipment;
oMaintenance of Plant, repair, overhaul and service the Plant to ensure their correct running and safety. Performs repairs on the Plant and keeps the Plant running well at all times. Perform routine maintenance on concrete batch and associated equipment including changing of bearings, idlers, cylinders, load cells, cleaning of components, lubrication, etc.;
oMonitor quality of product;
oWork in a high production environment;
oOrder raw materials (cement, gravel, sand), track quantities delivered, and know quantities on hand at any given time;
oSupervise and participate in disassembly of portable plant, move and set up on new location and operate;
oCoordinates with production Supervisors and upper Management to keep the Plant running;
oSafely and effectively operate various hand and power tools, and heavy equipment;
oShovel sand and stone as needed;
oStrictly adhere to and effectively follow all safety and environmental rules and guidelines;
oWilling to work under pressure;
oOperate equipment safely and efficiently;
oMust have basic computer skills-Experience with Command Alcon, Eagle computerized batching highly recommended;
oOther duties as assigned.

Further, this means that you must be ready to work when your shift starts. So, you must arrive at work with enough time prior, to ready yourself for the shift. They should also work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Essential Ability Requirements for ASI Personnel:
Working in the field at ASI Constructors Inc. is often physically demanding. The following list describes the minimum ability requirements for field personnel.
oPerforming physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials;
oMove heavy objects (94 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less);
oMove light objects (less than 94 pounds) long distances (more than 20 feet);
oHeavy lifting with repeated stooping, carrying and bending continually over time (i.e., picks up materials and move to a different location);
oWork long shifts with non-standard break times;
oWork in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements;
oLearn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation. This learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting;
oMust have vision equal to or better than is required for driving;
oIf corrective lenses are required to achieve this level of vision, the employee must be able to wear PPE without interfering with the corrective lenses or the required PPE.
oThe employee may have to purchase eye glasses (safety glass, etc.) that are compliant with ASI's Safety Program and OSHA/MSHA requirements;
oMust have good hand-eye coordination;
oMust have quick reaction times;
oMust be able to hear adequately enough to be alerted by horns, sirens, shouting, or any other noise that is meant to convey a safety warning;
oIf corrective device is required to achieve this level of hearing, the employee must be able to wear PPE without interfering with the corrective device or the required PPE;
oLift arms above shoulder level (i.e., throws bags into a truck);
oMust have good balance and must not be clumsy;
oClimb ladders or steps to reach objects;
oMust be able to work at heights of up to 100' or more;
oMust be able to work in confined or enclosed spaces;
oMust be able to sit for long periods of time;
oMust be able to stand for long periods of time;
oMust be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots;
oMust be able to walk moderate distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more);
oEnter the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet (or more) off the ground;
oMust be able to sit in the operator's seat of equipment and safely reach all pedals, switches, levers, buttons, etc. required to safely operate the equipment (if authorized for that piece of equipment);
oMust be able to sit in the operator's seat of equipment and have an adequate field of vision of all instruments, gauges, warning lights, as well as an acceptable field of vision out of the windows and/or mirrors (if authorized for that piece of equipment);
oUnderstand and follow oral and written instructions;
oMust be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others.
Preferred Qualifications and Training:
The Batch Plant Mechanic should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and finished a vocational course in electro mechanics or other related course. A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must be able to pass a background check, as well as pre-hire and random drug testing.

Salary Range:
Dependent on Experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
