REHAU's North American operations include several manufacturing plants, distribution centers and sales offices located across North and Central America.
Job Duties Include - _Supplier Quality Engineer (Purchasing):_
Support Purchasing/Engineering in supplier development and qualification in the project outsourcing painted plastic parts (supplier development, supplier qualification, PPAP process, APQP, claim management, supplier escalation, etc.)
Operational Tasks:
APQP with suppliers in the project in cooperation with project management and relevant specialist departments
Support the plant in the escalation of claim management
Auditing Supplier qualifications
Process/potential analysis and supplier process approval
Conception/Strategic Jobs:
Support the lead buyer in new supplier sourcing, approval and execution according to the REHAU internal rules and procedures
Cooperation with REHAU purchasing headquarters
Taking over responsibilities from a project manager when required
Responsibilities for Machines, Budget, Sales Volume and Targets:
SQE is responsible for achieving targets in regards to cost and quality
## Job Requirements
Special Knowledge and Capabilities - _Supplier Quality Engineer (Purchasing):_
Auditor VDA 6.3 and ISO/TS 16949, Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience in outsourcing projects, preferred in Injection Molding
Knowledge of requirements in Class A Surface Plastic Painted Parts
Education and/or Experience Required - _Supplier Quality Engineer (Purchasing):_
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
3 yrs. experience in Quality Management for Automotive Industry
Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Effective problem solving skills
Good organizational skills
Team oriented
40% Travel Required
